Payment & Refunds Policy

Plants are normally shipped by priority mail the following Monday or Tuesday after orders are received. (Live plants shipped during July, August and December, January are not covered by warranty. )  Please see the section titled Shipping information for more details. You will be sent emails advising you of the status of your order during this process.

We accept paypal, credit cards, debit cards, personal checks, business checks, cashiers checks, or money orders as payment.
We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. There is no surcharge for using your credit card to make purchases. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number (i.e. the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you). Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your credit card will be billed when your order is processed.

Checks, money orders, and cashiers checks  should be made payable to Colonial Creek Farm. Please complete the online order process and the mark the box  "payment by mail".  Enclose a copy of your order and the proper amount including shipping cost and send to: Colonial Creek Farm  65 Modoc Lane, Swainsboro, GA  30401.   A confirmation email will be sent to you detailing the total amount of your order when your order is processed. If sending a personal or business check through the mail, please allow up to ten days for the check to clear prior to your plants being shipped. Please remember to include a preferred shipping date with your order.

Here at Colonial Creek Farm, customer satisfaction is our top priority. But please understand that while we package your plants well and make every effort to ensure that they are delivered in a timely manner, we have no control over the USPS or the handling of your package once it leaves our facilites. Though not a frequent occurrence, packages do get lost or damaged in the mail. If this happens, though not our fault, we will try to help work with you in the fairest way possible.
Being put in a box without sunlight or water is not a natural environment for living plants. Your plants may arrive stressed from their journey, especially during times of extreme temperatures. ***It is very important that you be available to receive the package and open the box as soon as possible. Plants cannot survive being left in a hot mailbox or outdoors in freezing temperatures for extended periods of time. We cannot stress this enough... especially during periods of extreme temperatures, if you are not going to be available to receive your package right away, it may be helpful to have the plants shipped to a neighbor, relative, friend or to your place of work so that they do not sit outside for extended periods of time.
Your plants may arrive stressed after their journey. They will usually bounce back given time and the proper care. Complete care instructions will be sent with each package and following these instructions can greatly improve the success in which the plants recover if they arrive in poor condition.
If your plants arrive dead or do not seem to be recovering after the proper care, please email us a photo of your plants along with a short note regarding the problem to [email protected] or use the form located on the Contact Us page. We may offer suggestions if the plants are struggling and/or ask that you give the plants a waiting period of up to a week to see if they recover.
We offer either refund or replacements for up to 30 days after you receive your plant(s). Refunds are limited to the actual cost of the plant(s), we cannot refund the shipping charge. We reserve the right to ship replacement plants at a later date if weather has been determined to be a factor in the demise of the plants. Again, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase, so please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns or questions. Plants ordered and shipped July - August 31 and December  - February 15 are not covered by our 30 day warranty due to weather and will be shipped at buyer's risk.  
Colonial Creek Farm shall automatically charge and withhold the applicable sales tax for orders to be delivered to addresses within the same state. For orders shipped to other states, you are solely responsible for all sales taxes or other taxes.
